Last but not least is Hang-On. I'm starting to see a pattern repeating here, again, looking at the Master System version of the game, side-by-side to the arcade version it suffers from all the same problems that Outrun has. The game is just too dull, there’s nothing in it that excites, and the feel of speed is very poor compared to the "tear the road up" feel of the arcade machine. Graphically the Master System version looks plain and empty. There is no sound for this game on the Master System and it never really has any feeling of movement, the background changes every so often, but changes are subtle such as the colour of the sky changing, the grass changing to desert etc, you drive for hours to a city in the distance, but never arrive there, the whole game feels just like driving around in an empty field.

The only excuse I can make for this one is that Sega choose to release the game on card format, meaning there would be less memory to store the game, but that really is no excuse at all - this was one of Sega's "aces up its sleeve" - a good conversion of this game could have sold a bucket-load of consoles given good marketing.
